“I was earning N930, 000 monthly as the SGF, now that I have returned to my farm and reactivated it after my sack, I now have 4,000 hectares under cultivation," he said. “Last year, I earned close to half a billion naira from my farm proceeds, I have a cattle ranch that I am developing gradually and I am back to IT consultancy, life is now good. Everything that happened to a man is for his own good; my sack I would say is rather a blessing in disguise." Babachir Lawal, the sacked former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has boasted of his success after he was sacked from the government. Lawal was fired in October for allegedly diverting funds meant for people displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency. But speaking on Monday with Abuja reporters, the former SGF said he made more than he had made as the SGF in one year. Justice Ademola's Voluntary Retirement Announcement Was A Ruse To Cover Up His Sack From The Nigerian Judiciary - NJC

By -

An attempt by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court to voluntarily retire    to beat sanctions has been decimated by the National Judicial Council (NJC) which explained on Thursday that he was compulsorily retired, with immediate effect, following a recommendation it had made to President Muhammadu Buhari. In a statement signed by Director of Information Soji Oye on behalf of the NJC Secretary, the body described Justice Ademola’s purported 'voluntary retirement' clearly as an afterthought, as the Council had taken action before his decision to forward a voluntary retirement letter. The statement followed Wednesday’s NJC meeting chaired by Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen recommended the compulsory retirement of Federal High Court judges Ademola and O. O. Tokode, for misconduct. The NJC also suspended the two men from office with immediate effect. The NJC statement explained that Mr. Ademola had sent his notice of retirement to the Council on Octob...

You recall, in an Instagram video rant last week, Timaya lashed out at Eedris Abdulkareen after Eedris went on Goldmyne TV to express his disappointment with the quality of music Timaya was making. A pained Timaya didn’t take the criticism well so he lashed out at Eedris saying Eedris is a dirty looking igbo smoker that should be ashamed of himself. According to Timaya, Eedris was not nice to a lot of people, including his former colleague, Rafioso. Timaya ranted: “I was your backup artiste and you were not even appreciative. Did you even know my name? You regarded me like a nobody…I paid my transport to your shows because I was learning. You never paid me…How many people don blow through you? How many people have you helped? Where is them Rafioso, all thos...
