Davido Dedicates His AFRIMMA Awards To His Late Friends

Nigerian super star singer, Davido, who won two awards at the just concluded Africa Muzik Magazine Awards & Music Festival (AFRIMMA) held in the United States on Sunday, has dedicated it to his friends, late Olu and Tagbo. The ‘IF’ crooner took to his Instagram page to dedicate his two Awards to his Late Friend, Tagbo and his Former DJ Olu. Davido who shared a photo of the award on Instagram, wrote; “One for Olu , One for Tagbo 🌹 ! Nothing but love , support , and positive energy came from you guys ! Thanks for you guys for keeping me motivated . This is ‘OUR’ Award. Thank you Afrimma ! Thank you Lord .” Here is the photo he shared:

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to sign the Not Too Young To Run Bill in the coming days. Buhari made this promise on Tuesday during a nationwide broadcast in commemoration of the nation’s Democracy Day. “In few days to come, I will be joined by many promising young Nigerians to sign into law the ‘Not too young to run’ bill,” he said. In July of 2017, almost one year ago, the National Assembly passed the bill, but it was only sent to the President for assent in April — two months after 24 of the 36 state houses of assembly endorsed it. According to the Not To Young To Run Bill, the minimum age to contest for the seat of the President shall be reduced to 35 years, while governorship and state lawmakers was reduced to 30 and 25 years respectively. PREMIUM TIMES has obtained the full details of how N23 billion disbursed to Nigerian universities to settle earned allowances and arrears was shared among 24 universities. University staff, members of four unions, are currently engaged in a verbal war over the modalities for sharing the money. The money was part of the N220 billion the government pledged to the schools, which is an integral part of a resolution reached to address the last strike embarked on by unions over the non-implementation of previous agreements.
