Women Affairs Minister Meets Buhari, Declines Comment On Atiku

The Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, on Tuesday met President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Alhassan is a known loyalist of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar who resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress on Friday.
She had in September said she would support Atiku against Buhari if the former Vice-President expressed interest in the 2019 presidential election.
Her statement attracted criticisms, with many calling for her sack.
She is being mentioned among those who may leave the party and join Atiku.
When approached by State House correspondents for her comment on Atiku’s exit, the minister declined comment.
She had met Buhari shortly after she and and some of her colleagues attended the inauguration of the Policy Framework and National Action Plan for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism at the Presidential Villa.
