Commission(EFCC) wrote to the Nigeria
Customs Service, NCS, to place Fayose on
a watch list.
EFCC says it believes Fayose harbours
plans to abscond from the country after
his tenure as Ekiti state governor elapses.

Muhammadu Buhari government is
highly petty to place a governor, who
hasn’t left office on a watch list. Fani
Kayode noted that Fayose as governor
has immunity to travel anywhere until
his tenure elapses.

Atiku Defects To The PDP - PDP Welcomes Atiku’s Return

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s official rejoining of the party as a “welcome development.” The PDP praised Mr. Abubakar’s defection in a press release signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, and published on Sunday. The former vice president had left the PDP to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but announced on Sunday that he was returning to the PDP. The opposition party said that it believes Mr. Abubakar’s return will help rebuild the party ahead of the 2019 general elections. Cross River Breaks Nigeria’s Budget Record; Hits N1 trillion

    Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade Gov. Ben Ayade of Cross River has presented a budget of N1.3 trillion for the 2018 fiscal year to the Cross River House of Assembly for deliberation and passage, the News Agency of Nigeria reports. The budget is the largest for a single state in Nigeria’s history. Lagos state held the record with its N812 billion budget for 2017. The state has indicated its 2018 budget may also hit N1 trillion. Most states in Nigeria propose budgets at average N150 billion to N300 billion. The biggest annual spenders are Lagos, Rivers and Akwa Ibom. The entire federal budget for 2018 is a little above N8 trillion. Gov. Ayade, who presented the budget on Thursday in Calabar, said the proposal was designed to add value to the socio-economic development and well being of the people of the state. President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to sign the Not Too Young To Run Bill in the coming days. Buhari made this promise on Tuesday during a nationwide broadcast in commemoration of the nation’s Democracy Day. “In few days to come, I will be joined by many promising young Nigerians to sign into law the ‘Not too young to run’ bill,” he said. In July of 2017, almost one year ago, the National Assembly passed the bill, but it was only sent to the President for assent in April — two months after 24 of the 36 state houses of assembly endorsed it. According to the Not To Young To Run Bill, the minimum age to contest for the seat of the President shall be reduced to 35 years, while governorship and state lawmakers was reduced to 30 and 25 years respectively.
