Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has issued a special press statement on the state of the Nigerian nation. While reiterating his desire not to return to partisan politics, the former military head of state who later became a civilian president in 1999 used his lengthy press release to ask President Muhammad Buhari not to seek a second term in 2019. Since we are still in the month of January, it is appropriate to wish all Nigerians Happy 2018.  I am constrained to issue this special statement at this time considering the situation of the country. Some of you may be asking, “What has brought about this special occasion of Obasanjo issuing a Special Statement?” You will be right to ask such a question. But there is a Yoruba saying that ‘when lice abound in your clothes, your fingernails will never be dried of blood’. When I was in the village, to make sure that lice die, you put them between two fingernails and press hard to ensure they die and they always leave bloo...

Posting this photo from Presidnet Buhari' recent 2-day visit to Kano, Alibaba wrote 'If 80% of these people were gainfully employed they will not be on the road welcoming Buhari. And it's not about PMB. Because these are backlogs of unemployed and unemployable citizens for over 20 years and counting. These are the types that will cast votes for you for an exchange of a 5kg bag of rice. Why? Because they are down to their last hope. I tell many people. A citizen who gets good primary education will be triggered to get secondary education. At worst they will do better at Vocational schools. But once there is no foundational education, as basic as A is for Apple and 1+1=2 and all elementary teachings, the brain is locked out of the growth process. Because that basic education is what all other things are built on. Look at the pictures, you see popularity... I see thousands who can be used by anyone who has plans that will not be...

Journalists and supporters of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar were, yesterday, shocked after the former vice-president came out from a meeting with former President Ibrahim Babangida with a long face reflective of a red card shown to his 2019 presidential aspiration. Babngida and Atiku Atiku, who arrived Minna airport to a cheerful reception from his supporters, breezed past the same supporters after a one and half hour closed-door meeting with Babangida during which the latter was said to have asked him to forget his presidential aspiration. Meanwhile, the leadership contest for Atiku’s new political platform, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was, last night, turning into a heated three-man contest in the most competitive leadership contest in the history of the party. Ahead of the contest scheduled to play out tomorrow, Prince Uche Secondus, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, and Prof. Tunde Adeniran were said to have emerged out of the pack of eight candidates in a contest in whi...

Another set of Nigerians numbering 164 (158 males and 6 females) returned to the country from Libya in the early hours of Friday, December 8th, 2017. The returnees, who left the country through irregular travel routes and mostly through human trafficking voluntarily returned to the country and were received by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) and International Organization for Migration (IOM). The newest set of returnees landed at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) aboard a Libyan registered aircraft at about 12.40am. Some of the returnees recounted the horrible experiences they encountered while crossing the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea. One of them, Keshi Emmanuel, who was going to Italy and had to pass through Libya said he thought Libya is the fastest means to cross to Europe but he was mistaken. “I left just to mak...

Weeks before August Ames died in an apparent suicide at just 23 , the stunning porn star made the shocking admission that she was sexually abused as a child. On the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast with host Holly Randall on September 13, Ames claimed she was molested several times throughout her childhood. But, she claimed when she approached her father about the abuse, he refused to believe her.   “I have an awful relationship with my           dad,” Ames told   Randall. “I tried to forget about it and talk     to him   about how I was feeling about my                   childhood and   everything, because there was a lot of           sexual molestation   — not from my father but from his                 [redacted] — so I   had to suffer from being molested by my       [redacted]. ...

An attempt by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court to voluntarily retire    to beat sanctions has been decimated by the National Judicial Council (NJC) which explained on Thursday that he was compulsorily retired, with immediate effect, following a recommendation it had made to President Muhammadu Buhari. In a statement signed by Director of Information Soji Oye on behalf of the NJC Secretary, the body described Justice Ademola’s purported 'voluntary retirement' clearly as an afterthought, as the Council had taken action before his decision to forward a voluntary retirement letter. The statement followed Wednesday’s NJC meeting chaired by Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen recommended the compulsory retirement of Federal High Court judges Ademola and O. O. Tokode, for misconduct. The NJC also suspended the two men from office with immediate effect. The NJC statement explained that Mr. Ademola had sent his notice of retirement to the Council on Octob...

There is a deference between disease and medicine.      Medicine is to cure disease. But from all        indications, medicine is turning to                  disease now. Some people were employed to protect life and property, and to tackled security problems, we are paying 'tax' for them to get paid, weapons are being provided, and given to them to protect us. But, these people!! they are now threat to us. they are no more security agents but robbers. If you did not give them, they will collect it forcefully.     Now what is the difference between              DISEASE and MEDICINE?. If 'medicine' becomes 'disease', what then do you think will cure it?. Our uniform men on the roads were meant to be our MEDICINE, but they finally turned our DISEASE. From previous article regarding the SARS issue, where  The Senate  also voiced against the ...

We were discussing about females virginity yesterday and someone was like the only way to know if a girl is a virgin or not is that it's a must every girl bleeds during her first sex. And I am sure majority have the same mindset, but this is wrong.. Bleeding doesn't determine if a girl is a virgin or  not so I decided to release this article to help educate our young men and women on this issue of girls bleeding during first sex... THE MYTH ABOUT FEMALE VIRGINITY -why most women won't bleed the first time they have sex.  There's a very common myth in South and Central Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc.) and Africa (Nigeria and many other nations ) that you can tell if a woman is a virgin, by whether or not she bleeds the first time she has sex. There is zero truth in this. Not all women bleed the first time they have sex, as I'll explain in this post. To understand why some women bleed and some don't, it's very important to understand w...

An altercation has ensued between members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and Umuoji community in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State over the killing of a snake in the community by the General Overseer of the Mercy Throne Assembly, Umuoji, Rev Jude Chubueze. Rev Chibueze said a snake stormed his house at night when members of his family were already sleeping. He said he heard his children screaming and rushed there to find a snake where his children had been sleeping. “When I got to their room, I saw a big snake lying with them and I had to kill it and threw it into the nearby bush. The following day, some community members marched to my house and accused me of killing their god. They beat me up mercilessly. “They wrote a list of items amounting to N54,890 which they said I should buy to appease their god. Being a Christian, I told them that it is against my faith and more over, I killed a snake and not a human being.” One of the ...
